Checklist for preparing a music track release:

  • develop a release concept (cover, snippets, tracks) to create a story around the music

  • research the media and find relevant platforms for your content

  • prepare and send emails with the information about the release

  • cover 3,000x3,000 (JPG, PNG). Minimum size: 1,400 x1,400
  • track in WAV format
  • clean lyrics without markings like "chorus," "verse," and unnecessary symbols
  • high-quality photos
  • plan of activities supporting the release

Social Media Plan
  • develop a plan of publications for two weeks before and two weeks after the release, in order to maintain interest in the track.

  • ensure continuous content to support and promote your track

Wrap-Up and Transition to the Next
  • after the release, develop an action plan to promote the next track to keep the audience’s activity and interest

 

 

Always allow several weeks for preparation of the release

It is better to plan the release date with a schedule margin to ensure that the track is loaded onto all streaming platforms by the release date.
